Biography

 

Daniel Wilkinson has been an exhibiting artist for over twenty years. He received an MFA in painting from Yale University in 1995 and a BA in English from Davidson College. His work has been exhibited both nationally and abroad: including Art Basil Miami, Ziehersmith Gallery in New York, Silvia Schmidt Gallery in New Orleans, and the Anton gallery in DC. His awards include an artist’s resident grant to Yaddo and a Mellon Foundation Grant. He has taught full-time at Louisiana State University, Furman University, and Towson University and part-time at Sacred Heart University, and William Paterson University. He has experience outside the classroom as a scene painter for theaters and TV, a freelance graphic designer, and a staff member of the Frick Collection Library. He currently lives in Philadelphia and is a tenured Associate Professor at Bucks County Community College in the Philly suburbs.
